Concept-Based Learning

This incorporates several curriculum areas - science, the social sciences (formerly social studies), and technology. The focus is on deep learning of key ideas and understandings. We focus on one concept across the  whole school each term, with one curriculum area as the main context for teaching and learning. 

In term 1 the concept was culture.  With a focus on our school values and the values of leadership.  We were exploring this through social sciences.

This term the focus is communication through dance.
