Principal's Message
As we come to the end of this term, I would like to take a moment to reflect on what has been an eventful and exciting few months. Despite a disrupted start, we are proud of how our students have adapted and thrived in their learning and extra-curricular activities.
Our swimming events were a highlight, as our students displayed impressive skills and sportsmanship in the pool. We also enjoyed interacting with our local retirement home, continuing to foster a sense of community among our students.
Our sports teams have been established and are already showing great potential, while our music lessons and participation in NW sporting events continue to develop our students' talents and confidence.
We were thrilled to hold our school picnic, a wonderful opportunity for families and staff to come together and enjoy each other's company. The students only just won the annual soccer match!
Our Strength to Strength program has helped students build resilience and develop important life skills, while immunisations were completed to ensure our students' health and wellbeing.
We ended the term with a fun-filled disco, which was a great way to celebrate our students' hard work and achievements. We also launched our Go Zen program, which will provide valuable support and resources for our students' mental wellbeing.
Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership in your child's education this term.
As the term comes to a close, we wish you a wonderful two weeks with your children and look forward to welcoming everyone back for another exciting term. We wonder who’s training already for the parent race at athletics….

Safety Concerns
We are noticing a pattern of safety concerns increasing at our school gate:
-
Crossing the road and not using the supervised pedestrian crossing.
-
Entering and riding bikes up the school driveway rather than using the student entry points.
-
Parking across driveways.
-
Driving into the school (the school driveway is for permitted vehicles only).
Please work with us in following our safety and good practice expectations.

School Athletics
Our school athletics will be held early next term.
Our seniors (year 5-8) will be at the Huapai Domain on Tuesday 9th May and our juniors (years 1-4) will be here at school on Thursday 11th May. We welcome all parents to enjoy this event. Yes, there are parent races…

Risky Tech
As a school we are committed to continually improving our cyber safety education here at school. Jenn Byrne, a parent of the school, is undertaking her doctorate with the focus on risky tech and what we can all do to help our students/staff/community navigate this rapidly changing cyber environment. Jenn is looking for a focus group of 6 parents from across the school to discuss current knowledge around cybersafety. If you are keen to be involved in this group, please see the poster and contact Jenn directly. We are excited about where this investigation will lead us.
