Senior Leadership Message
My mother died recently. She was a small lady, 90 years old and highly significant in relationships across our families and beyond. It was pretty special to celebrate both the memories and also the legacy she has left. Legacy is not measured in material things but more so the values and beliefs that percolate through the generations following. What you do as a family, what you value and where you place your focus is not just for now but also the future. The words you say, the memories and experiences you create, last. It got me thinking about our school. I know and understand that culture is legacy. Success is fostering success in others. To see the culture we have, to see valued, strong relationships, to see compassion and empathy evident in children and for them to be open to learning, is the legacy of our school. I know our children will move forward in confidence and self belief. Our school plays a part in this. What you do in your family and with your children is so important for both now and the future. Thanks for being part of our school and raising such great children.

School supplied lunch Monday 14th August
|
As promised and communicated we will celebrate reaching our 60% target by a supplied school wide lunch. This will happen on Monday 14th August. Lunch will be hot chips and pizza. It would be wise to ensure your child still has some morning tea and perhaps some back up food. We have a school wide list of dietary requirements.

Station Road Safety
The traffic flow has dramatically increased with the temporary closure of Access Rd. We remain concerned with the pattern of walking children across the road rather than using the school manned pedestrian crossing.

Cross Country
We are looking forward to a great day next Friday. We know that many of our students have been out at the domain training after school with their parents. It’s great to see the commitment and enthusiasm. Our day runs in a way that both competitive and non competitive students can shine. As the races overlap, there is no child “running in last by themselves”. It is a safe way for our students to challenge themselves.
|
There is a sausage sizzle for each child after finishing their event.

In order to purchase a house coloured top for your child (compulsory from 2024) please visit the School Uniform Company.

Teacher Absence and Cover
We are finding it increasingly difficult to secure cover for staff when absent.
|
We have a system in place to alert and contact our known relievers and then a larger broadcast to over 100 relievers. Where we are unable to secure cover from within or outside of the school we are forced to adopt out groups from the class to neighbouring classes. Please be assured when we do this, it is because we have exhausted all other options.

Yummy Apple Sticker Promotion
Each year we have the opportunity to trade in stickers collected from the Yummy apple range for sports gear. This is an annual promotion that has seen the school earn some great gear that is used across the school. It’s that time again to remember to collect the stickers.
|
A collection sheet is linked below, or each of the classrooms have one on their wall for use at school. Paper copies of the sheet can be collect from the school office should you wish.
