Senior Leadership Message
“Culture eats strategy for breakfast."
|
This famous quote from Peter Drucker reflects what we have worked so hard to achieve and are now enjoying the benefits of. We are seeing the culture we value outworked across the school and our community. We see this in the manner children interact with each other, the fact that we are more so, a responsibility driven school than a rule based school - the tone and manner we see in our (your) children and the way things are done. Culture pervades!
|
I spent a good portion of my last weekend attending a friends family funeral. She is Samoan and 90% of what was said and done was in Samoan. All I could do was watch culture at work. It was a real honour. The way we do things speaks volumes, even more challenging is shifting culture from the way and the what we do, to who we are. I know we have crossed that line when I hear staff and children say either “we don’t do that here” or better still, “that’s the way we do it here”. I’m so grateful for the support, engagement and culture we have at our school. Thanks for being part of our school.

School Donations Update
Thank you for the support we receive from school donations. As we close out the year please be assured your donation makes a huge difference. We set a lofty goal of 78% support rate. We currently sit at 66.07% ($68,430). This is just 1% short of our previous highest support rate reached in 2019. We remain hopeful we will exceed this (67.23%) by the end of the year. We really appreciate the support we have from our community.
