Incident at Huapai Domain

Sun Jun 20 10:17pm

Please see below details regarding an incident at the Huapai Domain. Please be vigilant with your children and we recommened not leaving them  unattended at the Huapai Domain.

North Shore, Rodney & West Auckland Police

Police are warning our community to be vigilant after an incident at Huapai Domain on Monday afternoon (14 June).

At around 3:30pm, a teenager was walking through the domain to the use the toilet block and while she was inside a male has come into the toilets, indecently exposed himself and propositioned her.

She has said no and quickly left the area.

We have a limited description of the offender who is described as being Caucasian, in his late 20s or early 30s, tall and skinny with no visible tattoos.

There was one car parked in the lower carpark at the time which was only described to Police as being a black vehicle. We cannot be sure that this was the offender’s vehicle however we are making enquiries to further identify this vehicle.

Police have increased our prevention patrols of the domain area but are also asking our community to be extra vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour to us.

This type of offending was incredibly frightening to this young victim and we ask anyone who knows anything to contact Police on 105 quoting file number: 210615/0930.

Information can also be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
